Ahhhhh -- Booth Open at Brass Armadillo!

Whirlwind since we got back Sunday noon. I had 4 or 5 on-line paint orders to fill, including creating sample sizes. Just as I was getting organized to work on furniture, it turned out the booth had been vacated, so spent Thursday afternoon painting it and moving a few things in. Ditto Friday, then worked on finishing this great desk as I wanted to get it into the booth for Customer Apprciation weekend. Now, I'm going to pick up the house! Oh, yeah, I found a dresser, dressing table/mirror and bedside table for a ridiculously small amount of money so that is in the garage with a queensize sleigh bed head and foot boards, dresser and chest of drawers, not to mention 3 other desks and various side tables. Gotta stop stocking up! See some before and after shots:

Glass Art & More

Back from nine days roaming around the country between Iowa and North Carolina. Met up with Gary and Harold in east Tennessee and a variety of  junk and antiques and collectibles they had to offer.

Dan was patient with me, indulging in my various requests to stop, turn around (he loves U-turns) and go back to something alongside the road! We went to Churchill Downs, the Louisville Slugger plant, Daniel Boone National Forest, Harper's Ferry, Monticello and Appomattox -- to name a few -- and worked in some golf.

Then Friday and Saturday I spent two full days of workshop with Barb at Faux Works, along with 29 other stockists and mini-stockists for Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. Phenomenal! That is all I can say. Great product, great people, lots of fantastic info to share with my customers. Who are a growing list as sales were active on line and at the Brass Armadillo during my absence!

This weekend we will be painting the new booth #201 at the Armadillo and getting it stocked. Right now I am up to my elbows in paint and furniture getting ready for the weekend. But remember it is not just paint and furniture. While my garden art will not be there til spring now, new glass arrangements for window suncatchers, wall hangings and centerpieces are also available. Enjoy!
