Introducing Local Artisan Spotlight!

There are many, many outstanding artisans right here in our local community. Many of them are only heard of by word-of-mouth or if you happen by a local show where they exhibit. So what better way to introduce my customers to them than to do monthly displays featuring an artist and the first one is AWESOME!

Pat Sloan Mosaics and Glass Windows – Come in this month and see the amazing work done right here in Windsor Heights by Pat Sloan. Birdbaths, tables, stepping stones, artwork, glass windows! Some of these items can be purchased at our store. Or we will have cards so you can contact Pat if you have a custom order or want to visit her studio.

What’s New Around TLC Vintage

Three Newest Colors! – Amsterdam Green, Honfleur (brown), and Giverny (blue) have been added to our color chart on the wall, plus to our color mix sheets so you can look at over 1,000 colors of Chalk Paint® any time you stop by!

Every Color with Clear, Dark, Black & White Wax – We have boards with every one of the 35 colors finished with clear, dark, black and white wax so you can see what effect the wax has on each color!

BLING French Style – Who doesn’t love a little bling? We have brought in a range of small gift and décor items themed with Paris. These are great girlfriend treats. Wine bottle stoppers with the Eiffel Tower, fleur de lis, crystal, sailboat and more. Mirror compacts, bottle openers.

New Batch of Necklaces – A new batch of vintage style necklaces from Susan Espinosa now available at the store!

TLC Lip Balm – Our own branded lip balm in vanilla, raspberry and herbal mint. Fixes those chapped lips fast!

Seven popular paint techniques plus clear & colored wax methods! $85 in advance. All the info you need for successful projects! Everything provided plus refreshments.

Chalk Paint® Kitchen Cabinets & Built-Ins! Renew dated cabinets economically. Step by step, hands on planning and execution. You create your own prototype and style. $65 in advance. Everything provided plus refreshments.

Introduction to Milk Paint
A variety of applications for the use of Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint. Wax distress, layering, staining and more! $65 in advance.      Noon to 3 pm, Saturday, Apr 15

Open Studio – Every Wednesday 10 am to 3 pm

This is not a formal class but your opportunity to work with us on an individual project or technnique. Book in advance to be sure there is room. Stay as long as you need up to 3 pm. $20 per hour plus retail cost of products you use.

The Chair Affair!

Paint and simple drop-in seat chair re-upholster clinic. Bring in a chair from home or let us know and we will provide one for you. We will use drop cloth for fabric unless you bring your own. $65  in advance and provide photo of chair for approval.  Refreshments provided.

Rust & Patina – Wall Art
Choose a five letter word in advance for us to order the supplies. FAITH or PEACE is popular. Or initials of  family members or five-letter family name. Learn five different techniques for iron, bronze and copper rust and patina finishes. $65 in advance.

Wood Icing Memory Box & Wall Art

Ice wood like you ice a cake. Texture paste to add dimension to any surface! No one else is offering this product or class in Iowa. Two projects to take home. $75 in advance

Ceiling Tin Wall Art – JOY, LOVE or NOEL

Girls Night Out! Wine, Cheese, Paint Therapy!

Put together a group and spend 3 hours in the studio painting! Organize your group. Book it for $360 minimum for your group up to 8 people. Upcharges depending on materials. You bring the wine, we provide the cheese and paint!

Cancellation and No-show Policy: If you are ill or weather prevents travel, you may reschedule to another date within six months. If your plans change, we need a two-week notice before the class date if you want to be rescheduled.
